Internet is Alive Cartoon

The internet is a chaos. It is broken into millions of tiny pieces. Nothing is organized and everything changing as you read this. Feeds are pumping more and more posts, links and comments all the time. It’s alive and sleeps never. When you start to think about it, it’s actually little bit scary. A creature built by man. And it’s growing.

Who draws it

Good thing with the restless network known as internet is that it has no limits. This means what ever you or anyone else thinks up is possible to create. It is like a cartoon. You can imagine anything to happen and it can happen. Difference between the cartoon and internet is that internet lives. While a cartoon is drawn only once, the internet is alive giant cartoon with real people in it. Those real people like you, me and a million others are sketching it right now. Some are typing text, others clicking, while some are browsing and watching videos. What ever you do, it always leaves a mark.

You are Picasso

When you focus to positive sides such as that you can be Picasso of the universe, it gives you a certain feeling. A feeling of almightiness. Finally humans are able to have a-God-like-playground to experiment creativity. Although things are not yet tangible here, they will be you can bet on it. So what do you with this power? Where do you go clicking from here? Or do you deny that this world doesn’t exist and carry on living your life like nothing has happened?

Let Seniors Save Your Business

Which one do you think is better: screwing up because you didn’t know or because you didn’t ask? For a moment let us focus to people called baby boomers. The generation who were born after the Second World War and they made what Western world is. Yes, you can blame them for all the good and bad things happening today.

Is it their fault?

People who are now in their 60’s are pretty much responsible for everything happening around the globe right now. They started burning oil without considering environment, they built the economic system that now has crashed, they made Coca-Cola more available around developing countries than pure water. It is not a resume you wish have when you retire. So does this mean baby boomers have raped the Earth for the past 60 years?

Can you do this?

Sure, those people have lived life to the fullest when it comes to resources this land has to offer. While doing that they also have created freedom. The freedom to write, to read, to speak, to be what ever you want. What ever you want. A remarkable philosophy. That all man are free. And not just write it down like guys with long wigs did couple hundred years ago, but the baby boomers actually made it happen.

Wipe out seniors?

When everyone is free to be what they want sometimes things go too far. Mistakes happen. But the funny thing about doing mistakes is that you tend to learn from them. Often a lesson is so valuable that you are glad you made a mistake in a first place. You may even feel privileged to be able to understand it fully after stumbling. What we want to do now as a next generation is to clear out people who have failed. To wipe out 60 years of past failures to start fresh.

Is your way the right way?

What do you think happens after the baby boomers are gone? Do you think we are better off? Now, we can go on and make our own mistakes and learn from them. Eventually we will be successful because that is the law of cause and effect. You try until you succeed. Wait a second. Does it really have to be that way? Could we just once learn from other people’s mistakes without having to make the same mistakes again?

What is human?

The title “Let Seniors Save Your Business” could be what we need right now. When everything is falling apart economically, ecologically and even socially. Instead of throwing away people who have failed you would give them a second chance. To try again and this time more intelligently. Isn’t a second chance something you would like to get as well the next time when you have fail?

Let me give you a hint. It is not creativity. No matter how creative you may think you are, if you don’t understand how advertising works you will not get very far. Most advertising agencies focus to emphasize how creative they are. Just google few of them and you will see it yourself. So why not take a different approach?

According to David Ogilvy, the founder of Ogilvy & Mather, an international advertising agency giant, “Advertising has only one purpose: to sell. Everything else is secondary.” And how do you sell? He gives this example from selling: If you are at a party and a woman next to you asks which car to buy, what would you do? Would you start describing to her adjectives of the car such as pretty, cool and nice or would you give her the facts? Which one do you think sells more?

Forgotten professional secret

The one thing in advertising that always sells is information. That is what you want when you are buying something and that is what you should get. However, people working in the modern advertising tend forget what they are suppose to be doing. To make advertising that sells. Even all of the digital buzz campaigns and online communities around your brand has only one purpose; to sell – or at least they should have.
